Therapy offerings

Welcome to my therapy practice. I specialize in helping adults and couples heal from childhood trauma and navigate grief. My focus is to create a safe and supportive space where we work together to foster balance, fulfillment, and lasting growth. I’m here to guide you in achieving well-being without compromising your mental health.

Individual Therapy

30 to 55 minutes per session

We will meet one on one either in person or via Zoom. This meeting could be weekly or bi-weekly based on your needs. Sessions are confidential. We will process your feelings, emotions and problems. By making use of evidence-based interventions, we will discuss good coping skills and effective strategies to help you cope with challenges in life. We will also track treatment outcomes which will enable us to ensure treatment effectiveness. Through our work together, you will learn skills to heal, adapt and feel empowered and motivated. You will also be able to foster healthy relationship with yourself and others, lead a life that is true to you, find meaning and purpose in everyday life.

Couple’s Therapy

55 to 90 minutes per session

Couple's therapy is for two people who share an intimate relationship including dating, partnered, engaged or married. We will meet to discuss problems, conflicts or anything else you and your partner would like to change in your relationship. We will explore individual background, beliefs, values and actions that could be contributing to problems in your relationship. By applying researched-based interventions, we will explore effective strategies and learn good coping skills to resolve problems. The goal is to develop a healthier relationship between your partner and you. However, it is important to understand that some couples seek couple's therapy to work through their problems while others engage in couple's therapy to determine if living together is the right decision.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) are evidence-based approaches designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. CPT focuses on identifying and reframing unhelpful beliefs that stem from trauma, enabling clients to gain a new perspective and reduce the emotional impact of their experiences. PE, on the other hand, helps individuals confront and process trauma-related memories and situations in a safe and structured way, diminishing their emotional intensity over time. Both therapies empower clients to regain control, improve emotional well-being, and move forward with greater resilience and clarity.

Integrating Eastern philosophy in trauma healing

Healing from trauma is most effective when the mind, body and spirit are considered together. By drawing on principles of Eastern philosophy, clients can cultivate mindfulness, self-awareness, and acceptance to navigate their healing journey. Practices such as meditation and breathwork help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote emotional balance. Core ideas like impermanence and interconnectedness offer fresh perspectives, helping clients process difficult emotions and stay grounded in the present moment. This approach provides simple yet powerful tools to transform trauma symptoms into opportunities for growth and inner peace. Together, we can integrate these timeless practices into your life, creating space for healing and resilience.
