Nalini Channapatna Prasanna

MSW, LCSW, C-DBT

My name is Nalini Channapatna Prasanna and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW.) I am a bilingual therapist who speaks English and Kannada. As an Indian living in the United States, I have a strong understanding of different cultures. I specialize in working with adults and couples suffering from childhood trauma and guiding them through grief, loss and self-reflection.

Starting Mindspace Psychotherapy LLC has been a lifelong aspiration. I have always dreamed of providing exceptional mental health care in our community. This dream came to fruition in December 2020. At Mindspace Psychotherapy LLC you will experience a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space. Also, a space where you are respected, validated and supported in your mental health journey.

I was born and raised in South India. My interest in the field of mental health grew during my adolescent years. I grew up in a culture where issues related to mental health were neglected and stigmatized. This motivated me to choose a career in the field of mental health. I am a mental wellness advocate at heart and my purpose is to bring awareness to mental health issues by healing one person at a time.

When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and our two beautiful dogs. I enjoy experiencing different cultures, running, hiking, biking, rock painting, reading, embroidering and spending time with family and friends.
